In this field, self-motivation, creativity, and hard work are requirements for successful advancement. If you love to eat or serve others with a smile, this may be just the career path for you. Learn from certified chefs and industry veterans how to love your work and eat it too.
Student Organizations and Community Enrichment:
Students have the opportunity to be involved in National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and SkillsUSA, which is a national nonprofit organization serving high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. Students may elect to compete in specific areas of expertise at the regional, state and national level.
Students may also have the opportunity for any variety of work-based learning activities, which could include cooperative education, job shadows, and/or on-site tours. These activities provide opportunities to help develop leadership skills through hands-on experiences.
